DIAGNOSING YOUR HEARING LOSS
We conduct an extensive examination of your hearing. The examination is a detailed analysis, indicating the type and degree of loss in each ear and whether or not hearing aids are needed.
HEARING AID EVALUATION
If the exam indicates that you have a hearing loss, we will conduct a hearing aid evaluation. The results of that evaluation will determine the type and degree of hearing loss in each ear.
CUSTOM EAR MOLDS
Today's hearing aids are custom fit to the individual patient for comfort. To achieve the optimum performance and comfort of our hearing aids, we use a specialized mold material to create a precise impression of your ear. The mold of your ear is used to make the actual shell (or casing) of your hearing aids.
AVAILABLE MAKES AND MODELS OF HEARING AIDS
At Doctors' Center for Hearing Services of the Bay Area, we have access to most makes and models of hearing aids. We have developed relationships with manufacturers to offer you the best value.
HEARING REHABILITATION
The design of our hearing rehabilitation program is to ensure that you get the maximum benefits from your new hearing aids. The goal of our hearing rehabilitation program is to work with you to restore your hearing skills. Your hearing ability will diminish over time with an untreated hearing loss. We help rebuild your skills. Some steps include: wearing schedule, cleaning, and maintenance.
FOLLOW-UP VISITS
During the first six months, the process of adjusting your hearing aids may take more than one visit. We will make modifications to the casing of the instrument for your comfort or adjust the settings as you wear and are used to your improved hearing.
ADJUSTMENT (TRIAL PERIOD)
The adjustment or trial period with your hearing aid is thirty days. This fine-tuning phase is supervised closely by our personnel for hearing clarity, comfort, and adjustment to sound. We work with you to give you the most understanding and benefit from your hearing device. If, for whatever reason, you return the hearing aid at the end of the adjustment period, the complete cost of the hearing aid less the dispensing fee will be refunded to you.
ACCESSORIES
We carry a variety of hearing aid accessories including batteries, tubing, wax guards, and Dri-Aid kits. Also, we make custom swim plugs, noise protection, and ear molds.
We repair all makes and models of hearing aids.
